Embed Our PIP Calculators
Last updated:
Advice services, charities, councils and housing associations can put two of our PIP calculators on their own website, free. Each one runs in a frame on your page, uses the same rates and rules as this site, and stores nothing about the people who use it.
PIP points calculator
The points calculator lists the 12 PIP activities with the descriptors worded exactly as in the PIP Regulations 2013. As a person answers, it shows their daily living and mobility points, the rate each part would pay and the weekly amount for 2026/27.

The back pay calculator takes the date a claim or change started, the date of the decision and the award. It estimates the back pay, with each week priced at the published rate for its benefit year, back to 2022/23. It also handles awards increased at mandatory reconsideration, at tribunal or after a review.

Without this code the frame stays 720 pixels high, and people scroll inside it. With it, the frame grows to fit the calculator. Add it once, anywhere on the page. It only accepts messages from this site, and the message carries the frame’s height and nothing else.
<script>
window.addEventListener("message", function (event) {
if (event.origin !== "https://pipbackpaycalculator.uk") return;
var data = event.data;
if (!data || data.type !== "pbc-embed-height" || typeof data.height !== "number") return;
var frames = document.querySelectorAll('iframe[src^="https://pipbackpaycalculator.uk/embed/"]');
for (var i = 0; i < frames.length; i++) {
if (frames[i].contentWindow === event.source) {
frames[i].style.height = Math.min(Math.max(data.height, 300), 6000) + "px";
}
}
});
</script>Terms of use
- The calculators are free to use, with no sign-up.
- Keep the credit line under the frame. You may change its wording or add
rel="nofollow"to the link. - Do not change, cover or crop the calculator, and do not present it as a DWP or GOV.UK service.
- Results are estimates, not DWP decisions. Every result says so.
- We may change or withdraw the calculators. Rate changes reach your page automatically.
The site’s full Terms of Use also apply.
Privacy
- The frame sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, and carries no analytics or adverts.
- The frame loads nothing from any other website. Its security policy allows only its own script, style and font.
- Nothing a person types leaves their browser. We cannot see anyone's answers.
- Like any web page, loading the frame sends a standard request to our host, Cloudflare Pages.
Our Privacy Policy covers the rest of this site.
Accessibility statement
We aim for both calculators to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We checked that:
- every control works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- every control has a visible label, and errors say what to fix
- text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1
- the calculators work on a screen 320 pixels wide
- there are no time limits
- results are announced to screen readers when they change
Known limit: if the resize code is not used, people scroll inside the frame to reach the result.
To report a problem, email contact@pipbackpaycalculator.uk with the address of the page and what happened.
Keeping the figures right
- PIP rates come from GOV.UK and are regenerated each April. Both calculators show "Rates for 2026/27 · Last checked 22 October 2026".
- The descriptors are copied word for word from Schedule 1 of the PIP Regulations 2013, last checked 7 August 2026.
- Back pay uses the published rate for each benefit year back to 2022/23.
- The calculators on your page always match the ones on this site, because they are served from here.
